New 35th N.C. Unit
CONCORD, N.C. — Several families in the Concord area recently formed a new reenacting unit, Co. F, 35th Regiment, North Carolina Troops. They planned to attend events at Historic Latta Plantation in Huntersville, N.C., in August and at Allison Woods in Statesville, N.C., Sept. 20 and 21.

The unit’s founders all have extensive Civil War reenacting experience, including one with more than 30 years’ service.

They chose to represent the 35th Regiment because of its proud history from the beginning to the end of the war and because, like the original unit, members are from several counties surrounding Charlotte

According to Capt. R.M. Flagg, the new 35th is family oriented, with some campaigners. New members are welcome, whether they want to campaign or tent.

Information about the unit and a roster of members is at www.35thnct.org. Flagg can be reached at rflaggcwr@yahoo.com.
